QUALIFICATIONS
- BSC in chemistry, Faculty of Science, Alexandria University.
- Training course in soil and mortar analyses at the Egyptian Museum (Conservation and Restoration Centre)
- Training course in metal restoration sponsored by EDF
- Training course in mosaic conservation, “Mosaikon”, at Arles Museum as part of a regional programme dedicated to the conservation of mosaics in the southern and eastern regions of the Mediterranean
WORK EXPERIENCE
1986-1988: Restorer in Graeco-Roman Museum, Alexandria.
1988-1999:
Responsible of restoration work in the laboratory of metal and maritime archaeology at Roman Theatre Alexandria.
Treatment and restoration of the findings of Napoleon flag ships at Abu-Qir bay (Metals-Wood – pottery)
Treatment and conservation of underwater findings at Qaitbay fort
1999 – till today : Director of conservation and restoration laboratory of the Centre d’Etudes Alexandrines in which are treated all the different materials coming from excavations.
