In November 2003, the French regional authority of Provence-Alpes-Côtes d’Azur in partnership with the “Volontaires du Progrès” association sent two young volunteers to work at the Centre d’Etudes Alexandrines. Their mission was to create an educational outreach service. One year later, an Egyptian teacher-trainer was hired by the Centre to extend the scope of the project.
