One of the many studies carried out by the Centre d'Études Alexandrines over the years concerns the cavities and lead fastening elements in the blocks from Alexandria’s Pharos, which was definitively destroyed by an earthquake in 1303. This film presents the work carried out by Mourad el-Amouri, Valérie Pichot and Isabelle Hairy in a workshop set up near the Fouad excavation site in central Alexandria.
