Call for Papers
This conference, organised within the framework of the Ceramic Users Network (a network created by the CEAlex in 2021 and supported by the CNRS, France, bringing together 14 (or 13) laboratories from different countries dedicated to pXRF applications in ceramics), aims to explore the diverse applications of portable X-ray fluorescence in the study of heritage and archaeological materials in Egypt. While the Ceramic Users Network has a specific focus, this conference welcomes contributions related to all material types, including metals, ceramics, organic materials, and others.
We invite archaeologists, conservators, curators, and archaeometrists who have employed portable XRF in Egypt, whether in the field (during surveys or archaeological excavations) or in museum settings, to present their work and experiences. The conference will provide a platform to share methodologies, results, and address questions with the Network and the wider community. A strong emphasis will be placed on case studies conducted in Egypt, particularly those involving fieldwork, although submissions related to museum-based research are also welcome.
This one-day conference in Alexandria offers a valuable opportunity to showcase Egyptian case studies and foster collaboration among researchers in this field.
