Architecture Department

The object of the CEAlex architecture department is to carry out architectural surveys of monuments, built structures and architectural features uncovered on archaeological and excavation sites, and then to place them in their architectural and historical context.

In addition to traditional surveying methods, using tape measure, spirit level, plumb line, square and contour gauge, we also employ photogrammetry. This process makes it possible to use point clouds from 3D models to extract orthophotographs, especially in places that are otherwise difficult to access. The orthophotographs are used as a basis for drawing up plans, sections and elevations to the desired scale.
